Scarlet was written with speed as a top priority. As such, Scarlet provides a fast wayland shell experience, with minimal resource usage and low latency. Doing away with high CPU usage and laggy UI interaction.

Batteries included

Scarlet packs a plethora of preconfigured modules that can be ordered in any way configured. Scarlet is configured in the Kdl documentation language, which is easy to read and write.

SCSS-based styling

Scarlet supports SCSS based styles, along with style hot-reloading to make theme configuration a pleasant experience. Using GTK4, Scarlet provides a range of customization options, which are explained thoroughly in the documentation.
